DIRECTOR
Hello, I’m Ms. Taye!
I’m the Director here at Young Scholars and have proudly served in this role since 2022. I have worked in the childcare field for several years, caring for children from as young as 8 weeks old through high school age. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Justice Studies from Kent State University in 2020.
A few things about me: my favorite color is blue, I love learning new things, and I’m very family-oriented—I make it my mission to spend quality time with my family and friends whenever I can.
My goal at Young Scholars is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, encourage open communication between staff and parents, and foster a fun, educational environment where children can grow and thrive. I look forward to getting to know you and your family!

Hello! I’m Miss Kiya, the proud owner and director of Young Scholars Enrichment Center. I’ve been part of the center since it first opened in 2019 and stepped into ownership in 2021. With over a decade of experience working with children in this community, I bring both passion and purpose to everything we do here.
I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Cincinnati and am deeply committed to fostering a nurturing, engaging environment for every child who walks through our doors. In addition to running Young Scholars, I’m also a substitute teacher, a high school cheer coach, and a proud sports mom who never misses a game.
My mission is to partner with families to support each child’s growth, learning, and development during their early years. I believe in the power of community and the importance of laying strong educational foundations—and I’m excited to welcome your family to ours at Young Scholars!
