A little brief about the staff and management

Don'Tayeja 'Taye' Barnes

DIRECTOR

Hi, I'm Ms.Taye! I'm the director here at Young Scholars! I've worked in the childcare field for several years in age groups ranging from 8 weeks up to high school. I received a BA in Criminology and Justice Studies from Kent State University in 2020. Just a few small details about me: my favorite color is blue, I love learning new things and I'm super family oriented and make it my mission to spend time with my family and friends whenever I can. My goal here at the center is to ensure that we have a warm welcoming atmosphere, open communication among staff and parents, and a fun, educational environment for the children to learn. I look forward to interacting with you!

KIYA EDWARDS

I am Miss Kiya! I am the owner here at Young Scholars, have been working at the center since it opened in 2019, and took over ownership in 2021. I am a mother, a business owner, and a full-time student at the University of Cincinnati.

A few of my biggest accomplishments include being a dedicated sports mom who never misses a game, working with kids in this community for over ten years, and being on the Dean's list every semester that I have attended my university.

My mission is to watch children grow and learn while attending the center with the help of their parents and our team. Welcome to Young Scholars Enrichment Center!
